Cryogenic Cooling Systems
The Boreas Nitrogen Cooling System for refrigeration in the transportation industry is a safe alternative to conventional diesel refrigeration systems. It was designed by Vast Solutions with safety and performance in mind. All of the hardware and software was designed to effective and efficiently maximize cooling performance, reduce maintenance costs and increase fuel savings. Vast Solutions implemented and validated a complex Mechatronic and Safety system that included; embedded electronics, multiple sensors and actuators, data logging, solar power assistance and a HMI user control interface panel. All this, while implementing and validating a thorough ISO 26262 safety design.
Vast Solutions provided product improvements and enhancements to one of the largest flow controls solutions companies in the world. Our solution provided highly complex mechatronic systems and integration; embedded switches and a LCD display. Our engineering expertise and support resulted in software, magnetics and packaging improvements for the customer.
Vast Solutions worked with one of the largest automotive manufacturers in the world to design and produce several critical and vital modules for their vehicles. We implemented revolutionary designs that caught the attention of their engineering leaders and led to more design and development work within this OEM. Because we are nimble and responsive we are able to meet a need for this large OEM that other medium and large size providers can not meet. When faced with a recall, we became their solution. We quickly ramped up our team and that not only provided solutions but ultimately saved lives with those solutions.
We partnered with the world's largest manufacturer of fully automatic transmissions, for medium and heavy-duty commercial vehicles, to provide them with solutions for all their product line. Prior to our initial partnership, we had no business ties. However, after a successful partnership and launch, we quickly became a strategic partner for them. Our ability to respond quickly and efficiently set us apart from the competition. We are now tasked with making parts for every transmission they produce.
A large tier 1 supplier for the automotive industry came to Vast Solutions with a concept and early bulk prototype. The customer needs included a high power / high frequency electronic drive. Our solution allowed them to go to full scale global manufacturing.

We've partnered with an air suspension products manufacturer in enhancing and refining their suspension lineup. Vast was asked to evaluate and assess their system for improvement and modifications. After a successful launch of the product, we were again tapped to improve on their next generation product to make it automotive ready. This design was modified, with an eye towards functional safety. We owned all schematic, PCB layout and manufacturing; this product successfully launched along with an accompanying high aesthetic display module.
